VANDALS HIT A HEYDEN CAMP Heyden, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a seasonal camp on Hwy 556 in Heyden yesterday to investigate vandalism at the camp. Sometime over the past week someone was at the camp and spilled paint on the deck.

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a seasonal camp on Hwy 556 in Heyden yesterday to investigate vandalism at the camp.

Sometime over the past week someone was at the camp and spilled paint on the deck. Several screens were taken off the windows but it appears that no entry was gained to the camp.

BATCHAWANA POLICE GET THEIR MAN

Batchawana First Nation, Ont.,

A member of the Batchawana Police Service took a man into custody yesterday who was wanted by the Sault Ste Marie City Police.

An officer was on patrol of Gran Street in the Territory when she saw a person she thought was wanted by the Sault Ste Marie City Police. A check on the computer system revealed that there were outstanding arrest warrants for the man on charges of Assault with a Weapon and Mischief.

Fifty three year old Bernard AGAWA was taken into police custody without incident. He was taken to the Sault Ste Marie City Police Station by the First Nation Police for processing.
