TWO ARRESTED (Elliot Lake, Ontario) November 5, 2009 the East Algoma OPP received a call to attend a local gas station regarding the illegal use of a speed pass device. Police investigated and identified the possible culprits.
TWO ARRESTED

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) November 5, 2009 the East Algoma OPP received a call to attend a local gas station regarding the illegal use of a speed pass device.

Police investigated and identified the possible culprits. The suspects were located and arrested.

Charged with the following is Lindsey O’BRIEN (24) of Elliot Lake.

Trafficking – other drugs
Possession of Property obtained by Crime X2

Also charged is Justin RALPH (19) of Elliot Lake with the following:

Trafficking – other drugs
Possession of Property obtained by Crime

Both O’Brien and RALPH are scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court, February 2, 2010.

WARRANT RESULTS IN DRUG CHARGES

(Blind River, ON.) – On November 10th 2009 members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Section and the Asset Forfeiture Unit with assistance from the East Algoma Crime Unit and UCCM Police, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Search Warrant on a residence in the Town of Blind River. The search resulted in police seizing the following:

- 9 pounds of marihuana with an estimated street value of $80 900.00
- 20 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $2000.00
- 25 grams of suspected cannabis resin with an estimated street value of $500.00
- 40 – Oxycodone pills with an estimated street value of $200.00
- $30 350.00 in Canadian Currency

Charged are:

1)Daniel DUPUIS 45 years of age

1. Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking- over 3 kg - CDSA 5(2)
2. Possession of Schedule I Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking - CDSA 5(2)
3. Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams - CDSA 4(1)
4. Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Resin (Hashish) for the Purpose of Trafficking under 3 kg - CDSA 5(2)
5. Possession of Schedule I Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking - CDSA 5(2).
6. Possession of Schedule II Cannabis Resin (Oil) over 1 gram - CDSA 4(1)
7. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime - over $5000 (Canadian Currency) CC 354(1) (a)

Daniel DUPUIS and Orville McRAE were brought to Sault Ste Marie for a bail hearing.

Drug Bust

On Tuesday the 10th of November 2009 members of the OPP Drug Enforcement Section Sudbury and Wikwemikong Tribal Police conducted an investigation with regards to a male individual who was trafficking in Cannabis Marihuana.

As a result of the investigation Mark Peter Pitawanakwat is charged with the following,

• Possession for the Purpose of trafficking Cannabis Marihuana, section 5 (2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

• Possession of property obtained by crime, section 354 (1) (a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

• Breach of Probation, section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

Mark Pitawanakwat was released on a promise to appear and an undertaking with conditions to attend court on Tuesday, 5th day of January 2010.

This investigation is part of an on-going initiative by members of the OPP Drug Enforcement Section Sudbury, Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service, Joint Forces Operation to address the increase in crime and drug related activity.
