NOISE COMPLAINTS
Batchawana First Nation, Ont

Sault Ste Marie OPP and the Batchawana First Nation Police were called to the Frontenac Street apartments on the First Nation three times in the past 24 hours for problems.

At two and three o'clock this morning neighbours reported that excessive noise and partying were coming from one apartment. Police went to the apartment on two occasions and eventually the noise stopped.

Police were called again to the same area after a report of teenagers attempting to crawl into a window in the complex. The teens did not get in the window and fled the area prior to police arrival.

THE FIGHT
Echo Bay, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to an apartment complex in Echo Bay after receiving a call of a large fight in the parking lot of the apartment building.

Two highly intoxicated men and their drinking "entourage" were in the parking lot when verbal disagreement that quickly turned into a physical confrontation. The crowd quickly grew as passing tavern patrons noticed the fight taking place.

Police determined that only two men were involved in the battle. The two were bruised and bloody when police arrived. No one needed or requested medical treatment. It appeared that the only serious injuries were to each others pride. The crowd of onlookers was quickly sent on their way. Both combatants were escorted to their respective homes in Echo Bay to sober up and allow cooler heads to prevail. No charges were laid in this incident.
