LOCAL MALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The East Algoma OPP has charged a local male after receiving information regarding a possible assault.

The victim reports that on March 8, 2010 he attended the subject’s residence and while at the residence was allegedly assaulted.

Charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm is Joseph Ronald NEWTON (50) of Elliot Lake. NEWTON is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on May 4, 2010.
