WHO HAS THE BIG BLUE FLAG FROM THE OPP OFFICE???
Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,

The “big blue flag” is on the move again and no one knows where it will be flying next. For the last few weeks the Sault Ste Marie OPP have had the honour of flying the international symbol of the World Health Organization in front of our complex.

The many organizations, businesses and industries in Sault Ste Marie that work together to make our city an internationally recognized SAFE COMMUNITY have been hounding the Safe Community office for their chance to fly the flag at their business. The Sault Ste Marie OPP has resisted the many requests to bring the flag in so someone else can proudly display the “big blue flag” at their location.

Finally, after receiving a borderline threat from the Safe Community Partnership “Queen” Donna Boston-McLean, we will be reluctantly taking the flag down. Only Ms. Boston-McLean will know which one of the many organizations that worked together to make our city an internationally recognized safe community, will have the flag next.

Keep your eyes open all around the city and see just who will have the flag. You will know that business, organization, or industry continually helps to keep our city the safest place to live, learn, work and play.
