FEMALE CHARGED AFTER ALTERCATION AT LOCAL DAIRY QUEEN

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – June 4, 2010 police were called to attend Dairy Queen in Elliot Lake regarding a possible assault.

On scene police learned that the subject had attended and allegedly became verbally aggressive towards the employees.

The subject eventually left the store and police were called.

Charged with Causing a Disturbance and Assault is Theresa Georgina MAHONEY (62) of Elliot Lake. MAHONEY is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on August 10, 2010.

FALSE ALARM CHARGE FOR LOCAL MALE

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 12:12 a.m. police and the Fire Department responded to a fire alarm been activated at 80 Hillside Drive North in Elliot Lake.

A search of the building indicated that there was no fire and a wall-mounted fire alarm had been activated.

Through investigation police located and arrested a local male. Charged with False Alarm of Fire is Andrew CARROLL (46) of Elliot Lake. The subject was released and one of the conditions upon release was to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. At 4:51 p.m. on June 5, 2010 CARROLL was observed by police to be under the influence of alcohol. CARROLL was arrested and charged with Failing to Comply with an Undertaking. CARROLL remains in custody.

THEFT OF MOTOR AND GENERATOR

(Tarbutt Additional Township, ON.) – On June 3, 2010 at approximately 10:30 a.m. a theft of an outboard motor and a generator was reported to the East Algoma Thessalon OPP. The items were removed from a tug boat docked at the old ferry dock on the south side of Pine Island. The theft occurred on June 2nd, 2010 between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The outboard motor is described as a Grey Honda 15 h.p. – 4 stroke motor and the generator is a Red GT1200 Power G. The value of the theft is approximately $3000
