BIKES LOCATED

(Thessalon Detachment) Between Monday June 23rd and Tuesday June 24th, 2008 two found bicycles were turned over to the Thessalon Detachment. One was located on St. Joseph Island and the other was located within the Town of Thessalon.

If you believe one of these bicycles are yours, attend the Thessalon OPP Detachment Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to identify the bicycle.

Two Charged in Drug Bust

(GORE BAY, ON) – On the 18th of June, 2008, members of the Sudbury Drug Enforcement Unit and the Manitoulin O.P.P. executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence located on Robertson Road, near Gore Bay, on Manitoulin Island. Police located 285 Cannabis Marihuana plants, 103 grams of Cannabis Marihuana, and grow related equipment. Police also seized a handgun, 4 rifles, and ammunition. Total potential street value of the Controlled Substances seized is estimated at $287,260.00. Total value of the grow related equipment is estimated at $5,000.00.
