25 YEAR OLD MAN DIES IN WORK RELATED ACCIDENT (Chapleau, On) On Tuesday February 26th, 2008 shortly after 3:00 pm, the Superior East OPP responded to an industrial accident involving a 25 year old Timmins man.

(Chapleau, On) On Tuesday February 26th, 2008 shortly after 3:00 pm, the Superior East OPP responded to an industrial accident involving a 25 year old Timmins man.

The OPP conducted their investigation then secured the area to preserve evidence for the Ministry of Labor who will be attending the scene today. The deceased was taken to the Chapleau Hospital where he was pronounced dead. A post mortem is schedule for today in Sault Ste. Marie. The OPP will remain at the scene along with the Ministry of Labor until the investigation is complete.

CROSS COUNTRY SKI TRAILS DAMAGED BY SNOWMACHINES

(GOULAIS TOWNSHIP) Officers from the Ontario Provincial Police Detachment in Sault Ste. Marie were called to Stokely Creek Cross Country Ski Lodge in Goulais River yesterday to investigate a complaint of snowmobile’s riding on and causing damage to the ski trails.

The OPP would like to remind all snowmobile enthusiasts that this is private property for the enjoyment of cross country skiers.

Signs are posted indicating that this is private property and the OPP urge snowmobiler’s to respect private land and stay on the marked trails.

Snowmobiling requires constant care, caution and attention. Please ride safely and responsibly.
