The O.P.P. reports a very quiet twenty-four hours right across Northeastern Ontario. There are four snowmobilers missing in the Timmins area this morning. The O.P.P. has a helicopter participating in the search for the four who are a day overdue.

Police are concerned that snowmachine operators may try to cross lakes that are not safe as yet.


RIDE PROGRAM
Echo Bay, Ont.

The Sault detachment of the O.P.P. conducted a R.I.D.E. program in Echo Bay and Aweres Township last night and checked 194 vehicles. No charges were laid.


COUNTERFEIT BILLS
Rankin First Nation

Another counterfeit twenty-dollar bill was passed on the Rankin First Nation yesterday. Police are investigating.


YOUTH ARRESTED
Batchawana First Nation

Batchawana First Natio Police arrested 1 male young offender for breach of probation. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
