ANOTHER ONE WHO IS “HOOFING IT” FOR SEVEN DAYS

(Echo Bay, Ont.) A Sault Ste Marie resident had his vehicle impounded and licence suspended for driving too fast.

Yesterday at about 3:00 p.m. an officer with the OPP Traffic and Marine Unit, based out of Sault Ste Marie, was patrolling Hwy 17 in the area of Echo Bay. The officer clocked a vehicle traveling in excess of 140 km/h in the posted 90 km/h zone. The car was stopped and the driver has had his licence suspended for the next seven days. He also had his car towed and impounded for seven days.

Twenty year old Bradley SWEENEY, of Town Line Road in Sault Ste Marie, has been charged. He has been summonsed to court on January 30, 2008 to offer a possible defense to his actions.
