BREAK AND ENTER (DUBREUILVILLE, ON) On December 13 th , 2011 the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to Dubreuilville to investigate a break and enter to a residence on Rue des Pins.

(DUBREUILVILLE, ON) On December 13th, 2011 the Superior East Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to Dubreuilville to investigate a break and enter to a residence on Rue des Pins.  Investigation revealed that the break in had occurred between 8:30 and 11:00 am that day.  Items stolen include an XBOX 360, 5 games for the system, an 18” flat screen television and a DVD movie.

A witness reported a GMC pickup truck; white in colour with “COBRA” on the side had been parked in the driveway that morning.  OPP are continuing to investigate this matter.  Anyone with any information is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers.

TWO MOTOR VEHCILE COLLISIONS NORTH OF SAULT STE. MARIE

(AWERES TWP., ON) – Two motor vehicle collisions involving deer were reported to OPP north of Sault Ste. Marie yesterday.

One collision occurred at 7:00 pm on Highway 17 in Havilland Township involving a tractor trailer.

The second collision occurred at 7:30 pm on Highway 556 in Aweres Township involving a pick up truck.

In both collisions, the drivers were not injured and there was minor damage to the vehicles.

OPP remind motorists that with the mild weather wildlife are more active. Adjust driving speed at night as visibility is reduced and so is a driver’s reaction time.
