DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE

1) (Elliot Lake, Ontario) While on general patrol December 7th, 2008 officers noticed a vehicle in the snow bank at the intersection of Hillside Drive North and Highway 108 in the City of Elliot Lake. At approximately 12:21 a.m. officers approached the vehicle and through investigation charged the driver.

Charged with Impaired Operation and Exceed 80 is Brian Herbert HOGG (41) of Elliot Lake. HOGG is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on February 3, 2009.

2) (Elliot Lake, Ontario) December 4, 2008 police responded to a call of a possible impaired driver on Dieppe Avenue in Elliot Lake. Police arrived on scene at 10:47 p.m. and located the driver.

Charged with Impaired Operation and Exceed 80 is Timothy Richard BLOXOM (48) of Elliot Lake. BLOXOM is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on February 3, 2009.

POSSESSION OF PROPERTY AND MORE

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) On Saturday, December 6th, 2008 an officer of the East Algoma OPP was on routine patrol in the area of Bennett Drive in the City of Elliot Lake when he noticed footprints in the area of cars. Through investigation three (3) male youths were located and arrested.

Charged with the following are two (2) 14-year-old males and one (1) 15-year-old male:

Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.00
Trespass/Prowl Near Dwelling House

All three (3) youths are scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake Youth Court on February 3, 2009.

The names of the accused will not be released under the jurisdiction of the youth criminal justice act.
