Officers with the Sault Ste Marie detachment took one man into custody last night after attended a house in Echo Bay.

An argument between a couple escalated and became very heated. As a result of all the circumstances involved, officers took a twenty eight (28) year old man into custody in order to prevent potential violence to occupants of the home. The investigation is continuing and no decision on charges has been made at this time.

Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,

At about 4:00 a.m. this morning a man walked into the Sault Ste Marie City Police Station and advised the officers that he was surrendering himself.

It turns out that the he had outstanding warrants being held by both the Sault Ste Marie City Police and the Sault Ste Marie OPP. Officers with the Sault OPP attended at the city police station and took the man into custody. Sault Ste Marie OPP held two warrants for the twenty two (22) year old Sault Ste Marie man. The warrants held by the OPP are for a domestic situation from Christmas.

It is alleged that on 26 December 2006 the accused attended a home of an ex spouse in Heyden. He kicked in two doors and assaulted a male in the house.
