If you're interested in working with the Ontario Provincial Police, the Sault detachment wants to see you next week.

The local detachment is hosting an open house at its Great Northern Road headquarters on Oct. 16.

The open house will run from 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. and will give interested people a chance to learn about the OPP recruitment process.

Attendees will also be able to meet members of the OPP's specialized units and program areas to learn about their experiences.

No registration is necessary.

The OPP will also be hosting a Shuttle Run Event on Oct. 16 from 3-5 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m. which will give people a chance to complete the shuttle run fitness test. The test is a requirement in the OPP hiring process and those who are successful in reaching level 7 or higher will receive a certificate to pre-qualify their fitness level. Registration is required for the Shuttle Run Event and can be done so here.
