SUSPICIOUS MALE NETS SEVERAL CHARGES (Elliot Lake, Ontario) – While on general foot patrol at approximately 11:26 p.m. on September 14, 2012, officers of the East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake noted a suspicious male in the area of Spruce Avenue.

SUSPICIOUS MALE NETS SEVERAL CHARGES

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – While on general foot patrol at approximately 11:26 p.m. on September 14, 2012, officers of the East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake noted a suspicious male in the area of Spruce Avenue.

Police attempted to speak to the male when he fled from police.  A short time later, police located and questioned the male.  The accused had been drinking, would not provide his identity and was uncooperative with police.

Police arrested the male and transported him to the Elliot Lake detachment.  The accused allegedly continued to be agitated and uncooperative with police.  At 4:15 a.m., police spoke with the accused advising him of his charges when he uttered threats to damage property belonging to the officers.

Charged with the following is Michael Morris TASSE (19) of Elliot Lake.

  • Fail to Comply (X2)
  • Obstruct/Resist Police
  • Utter Threats to Damage Property (X2)

The accused remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing in Sault Ste Marie.

A THREAT IS A THREAT ….

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Police have concluded their investigating regarding a complaint of threatening via the social network Facebook.

On September 5th, 2012 the victim attended the police station to report receiving threatening message through Facebook.  Through investigation police learned that the accused was known to the victim and both parties had engaged in a disagreement.  At which time, the accused sent several messages threatening to cause bodily harm to the victim

Charged with Utter Threat to Cause Death or Bodily Harm is Charlene COLLINS (30) of Elliot Lake.

Through the above investigation police learned that the victim felt intimidated by another party involved with the accused. Police investigated, arrested and charged Richard Jason Grant St. JACQUES (42) of Elliot Lake with the following:

Intimidation – Watches or Besets (X2)

Both accused persons are scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on November 6th, 2012.
