FURNITURE TAKEN FROM LOBBY (Elliot Lake, Ontario) Police are currently investigating a theft from the lobby of an apartment building at 3 Washington Crescent. Sometime during the evening of August 29, 2009 and 8:30 a.m.

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) Police are currently investigating a theft from the lobby of an apartment building at 3 Washington Crescent.

Sometime during the evening of August 29, 2009 and 8:30 a.m. August 30, 2009 unknown person(s) removed chairs and some plants from the front lobby area. The furniture consists of two (2) wing chairs with a green paisley pattern and two (2) tall silk cypress trees and a smaller potted plant.

TWO BOAT MOTORS STOLEN

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) Police are currently investigating two (2) separate thefts of a boat motor.

Sometime during this last week a 9.6 Mercury outboard motor was stolen from the back yard of a residence on Hergott Avenue. No further description available at this time.

Also missing from a residence on Albert Street is a 1999, white Evinrude 6hp boat motor. The motor went missing sometime between 4:30 p.m. on the 26th of August and 3:30 p.m. on the 30th of August 2009.

ACK WINDOW SMASHED

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) Mischief to a vehicle was reported to police on August 29, 2009.

Police learned that the victim had parked a 2002 Pontiac Firebird, grey in color in an open area approximately 200m south of Depot Lake. The driver of the vehicle and friends were camping in the area. Upon their return they discovered the rear window had been smashed and a noted a dent in the roof of the vehicle.

Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

MALE CHARGED IN DOMESTIC ASSAULT

(Elliot Lake, ON.) On August 31, 2009 police responded to a call for police assistance to a residence on Axmith Ave in Elliot Lake. Once at the scene officers received information that lead to the arrest of a 68 year old male. The male has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and was sent to bail court in Sault Ste. Marie. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment. The identity of the male has not been released as to protect the identity of the victim.

9-1-1- IS FOR EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY!!!!!

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) The East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake has charged a local man after repeat calls to 9-1-1.

On Saturday, August 29, 2009 at approximately 1:30 p.m. the suspect called 9-1-1 requesting information. The suspect was advised not to call 9-1-1 unless it was an emergency. The accused continued to call 9-1-1 for non-emergency, he was cautioned and he stated he would continue to call.

Charged with Common Nuisance – endanger life is Brett Christian BURKE of Elliot Lake. BURKE is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on October 6, 2009.

SKI HILL VICTIM OF BREAK AND ENTER

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) On August 28, 2009 police attended the local Ski Hill in Elliot Lake regarding a possible break and enter.

Investigation revealed that sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. August 27, 2009 unknown person(s) caused damaged to a picnic table and bench by throwing them off the deck. Entry was gained through a door but nothing is reported missing.

BREAK ENTER AND THEFT ON NEWFOUNDLAND WALK

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) Police are currently investigating a break enter and theft at a local business on Newfoundland Walk in Elliot Lake.

On August 28, 2009 police attended the store and learned that sometime during the evening of August 27, 2009 unknown person(s) entered the business a stole the following items:
- (1) one locked grey cash box
- (1) one unlocked beige cash box
- a cash float

Total of money missing is approximately $3,400.00 t0 $3,900.00.

OBSTRUCT POLICE AND MORE…=

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) August 29, 2009 police attended the area of Charles Walk in Elliot Lake regarding a complaint of a male drinking alcohol and playing a guitar.

Through investigation the suspect was charged for consuming alcohol in public. The accused allegedly became agitated and was told several times to calm down but refused to do so. The accused was arrested and charged.

Charged with the following is Martin PRUCE (34) of Elliot Lake.

Cause a Disturbance

PRUCE is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on October 6, 2009.
