TOOLS, CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL STOLEN

(Thessalon, Ontario) – The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a break and enter on Diamond Lake Road in Johnson Township.

The victim reports that between Saturday, November 5, 2011 at approximately 1700 and Monday, November 7th, 2011 at 9:15 a.m. unknown person(s) entered the building situated at the above address and removed a variety of tools and construction material. The approximate value is $3,500.00

Assault

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The East Algoma OPP has charged a local woman after receiving information regarding a possible assault.

Investigation revealed that on the evening of November 4, 2001 the suspect entered the residence of the victim without being invited. A discussion ensued and the suspect allegedly assaulted the victim.

Charged with the following is Judith Anne Ronna FEYERABEND (51) of Elliot Lake.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on January 3, 2012.

DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On November 4, 2011 at approximately 6:27 p.m. police received a call regarding an intoxicated male not wanting to leave the premises.

While on route to the drinking establishments, police received further information that the suspect had left the area in his vehicle.

Police patrolled and located the suspect driving his vehicle on Spruce Avenue in Elliot Lake. At this time police conducted a traffic stop.

Charged with the following is Douglas POELEMANS (48) of Elliot Lake.

Impaired Operation
Exceed 80 Milligrams

The driver was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act for Driving while under suspension.

The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on December 6, 2011.

SEARCH FOR MISSING MAN CONTINUES

(ESPANOLA, ON) –The OPP will continue the search for a man who went into Agnew Lake after the pontoon boat he and two others were travelling on took on water yesterday in rough conditions. The OPP Marine Unit, Underwater Search and Recovery Unit and members of the Espanola OPP detachment will be at the scene today to resume the search for the victim who is presumed drowned.

The victim has been identified as Joseph LECLAIR (33 yrs) of Sudbury.
