DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE!

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – While on general patrol on November 23, 2012 at approximately 8:32 p.m. an officer of the East Algoma OPP noticed a vehicle on Hutchison Avenue in Elliot Lake stuck across a pedestrian sidewalk.

Through investigation the driver of the vehicle was charged.

Charged with the following is Adria DAVIS (39) of Elliot Lake.

  •             Impaired Operation
  •             Exceed 80

The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on January 8, 2012.

BREAK ENTER AND THEFT ON SPRUCE AVE, WARSAW PLACE AND STEVENS ROAD IN ELLIOT LAKE

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) –   The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating three (3) break enter and thefts in the Elliot Lake area since November 24, 2012.

Police attended a residence on Spruce Avenue regarding a possible break enter and theft from a garage.  Through investigation police learned that sometime between 11:00 p.m. November 23, 2012 and 9:00 a.m. November 24th, 2012 suspect(s) entered the garage via an unlocked window.  Once inside removed beer, some liquor and a frame photo.

On November 25, 2012 officers attended 4 Warsaw Place.  On scene police learned that the owner left the residence at 2:45 p.m. and upon their return at 4:10 p.m. noted the front door of the residence had been forced open.  Police were called and the following items are missing; a digital camera, jewellery, a purse, a wallet, a watch and a small amount of prescription drugs.

Sometime during the night of November 24th, 2012 unknown person(s) entered a residence on Stevens Road through an unlocked door.  Once inside removed cash and credit cards.

OPP SEEK PUBLIC’S ASSISTANCE

Neighbour Averts Break and Enter To A Residence

(MacDonald-Meredith-Aberdeen Additional Twp., ON)On Thursday, November 22, 2012  homeowners in the 6000 block of Highway 638 left their residence at approximately 3:50 pm.

At 9:00 pm an adjacent neighbour inside their own residence heard a loud motorbike on the roadway and went to check out the noise. A young white male with a flashlight was observed in their neighbour’s driveway.

When the neighbour questioned the young male as to what he was doing, the male revved his bike and took off.  The male is described as a white young person wearing a grey winter jacket with blue sleeves; a full faced helmet (no shield), black on top and grey in the front.  He is described a having black shoulder length hair, a black moustache, of medium build and approximately 5”10”.

 A short time later, the bike returned to the residence and another white young male wearing a white helmet with a shield and a grey winter jacket, ran out of the residence and jumped on the back of the bike. The bike proceeded westbound on Highway 638 where it turned eastbound onto Highway 17.

The neighbour then called Sault Ste. Marie OPP.

The bike is described as a Yamaha Virago, black and silver in colour, no muffler and no licence plate.

Further investigation revealed that the residence had been forcibly entered and ransacked but nothing had been taken.
