THEFT OF LAPTOP

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On Monday, March 8, 2010 at approximately 10:10 a.m. police were called to attend the Adult Education Centre on Roman Avenue in Elliot Lake regarding a possible theft.

On scene police learned that the victim had attended class with his laptop at 9:30 a.m. and at 10:00 left the classroom for a break. Upon his return a few minutes later noted his laptop was missing.

The Dell Notebook Laptop Computer has a light blue top and a silver bottom.

Don’t Drink and Drive

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – March 6th, 2010 while conducting a R.I.D.E. at approximately 4:00 p.m. officers of the East Algoma OPP stopped a vehicle on Highway 108 north of Timber Road. Officer spoke with the driver and through investigation the subject was charged.

Charged with the following is Martin Romeo St GEORGE (35) of Elliot Lake.

Exceed 80 and Driving While Under Suspension

St GEORGE is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on May 4th, 2010.

ATTEMPT BREAK AND ENTER

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Police are currently investigating a possible Break and Enter. Between 4:00 p.m. March 5, 2010 and 9:00 a.m. March 6, 2010 unknown person(s) broke the glass out of the south door of St. Vincent De Paul situated a 1 Horne Walk in Elliot Lake.

It does not appear that the subject(s) entered the building. Estimated damage to the door is approximately $300.00. Nothing was reported missing at the time of this report.
