DANGEROUS DRIVING CHARGES FOR LOCAL MALE
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Friday, March 1, 2011 at approximately 7:45 a.m. the East Algoma OPP received two 9-1-1 calls regarding someone operating a vehicle on Farquhar Place in a possible dangerous manner.

Police attended the area and located a vehicle stuck into and up a snow back in from of a residence on Farquhar Place. Through investigation, police learned that the driver had allegedly been driving up onto snow banks intentionally.

Charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle is Arnaldo PINTO (64) of Elliot Lake. PINTO is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on May 3, 2011.

DISTURBANCE AT LOCAL OFFICE
(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – March 21, 2011 police were contacted and asked to attend an office located at 151 Ontario Avenue in Elliot Lake. Officers arrived on scene at 11:30 a.m. and were advised by staff that a female was in an adjacent office causing a disturbance. The subject was allegedly screaming at a worker and upon police arrival the behaviour continued.

The subject was arrested and charged. Charged with Causing a Disturbance is Angela HOLMES (45) of Elliot Lake. HOLMES is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on May 3, 2011.
