TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN DRUG CHARGES (Serpent River, ON.) – On June 5th, 2009 at 10:40 p.m. members of the East Algoma OPP detachment stopped a vehicle on Eley road in the Iron Bridge area.
TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN DRUG CHARGES

(Serpent River, ON.) – On June 5th, 2009 at 10:40 p.m. members of the East Algoma OPP detachment stopped a vehicle on Eley road in the Iron Bridge area. The officers noticed the two passengers had open liquor in the vehicle. After a short investigation police discovered one of the passengers to be in possession of suspected cocaine and a large amount of cash.
As a result of the investigation thirty year old Travis Wade SIMONS of Thessalon has been charged with:

1) Possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

SIMONS is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on the July 9th 2009 in Blind River.

Mischief

On the 8th June 09 Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. responded to a mischief complaint on Mission Road in Kars Township. Between the hours of 11:00 pm and 7:30 am person(s) damaged several mailboxes.

Theft

On the 8th June 09 Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. responded to a theft complaint on Heyden Lake Road in Aweres Township. Person(s) removed a snow blower from a shed.

Break & Enter

On the 8th June 09 at approximately 12:30 pm Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P. responded to a break & enter on Mission Road in Fenwick Township. Owners discovered that person(s) had been broken into the residence the previous day between the hours of 3:30 pm and 8:30 pm.
