FIVE VEHICLES DAMAGED ON WASHINGTON CRESCENT

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating several mischiefs to vehicles in Elliot Lake.

June 16, 2012 at approximately 6:00 a.m. police received a call to attend the parking garage between 1 and 3 Washington Crescent in Elliot Lake.  On scene the investigating officer was advised that sometime between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. June 16th, 2012 unknown person(s) caused damage to several vehicles in the parking garage by smashing the driver door window of 5 vehicles.  All vehicles were ransacked with only small items taken.  Some items were recovered at the scene with one flashlight still missing.

Police are continuing their investigation and are currently reviewing video surveillance footage.

Theft of Sawmill

(THESSALON, ON) –On June 14, 2012 police received a complaint of a stolen sawmill head.  The complainant reported that he had a sawmill head located in an adjacent field to the residence located at 528 Basswood Lake Rd in the Municipality of Huron Shores.  The complainant was last at the residence on May 24, 2012 and when he returned to the residence on June 14, 2012 the sawmill head was missing. 

The sawmill head is described as three feet long, four feet wide, four  feet high, black in color.  The sawmill head has a 13hp red Honda engine, with two cast iron drive wheels.  The sawmill weighs approximately 250 – 300 pounds.  The approximate replacement value of the sawmill is $10,000.
