TRACTOR TRAILER COLLIDES WITH SNOWPLOW WHILE PASSING
(FISHER TWP., ON) – At approximately 7:00 pm yesterday evening OPP were called to the scene of a motor vehicle collision.
A snowplow travelling southbound on Highway 17 north in Fisher Township was passed by a tractor trailer unit also travelling southbound.
The tractor trailer unit clipped one of the wings on the snowplow.
There were no injuries to either driver.
Forty-nine year old Jasmin Letarte of Brennan’s Hill, Quebec was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with Pass on Right – Not In Safety.
CHARGES LAID IN DOMESTIC INVESTIGATION
(GAUDETTE TWP., ON) - As the result of a Police investigation a forty-four year old male has been arrested and charged with two counts of Uttering Threats to Cause Death or Bodily Harm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
It is alleged the accused verbally threatened his spouse after a verbal altercation in October 2011 and January 2012 causing the victim to fear for her safety and leave the residence.
The accused is to appear in Provincial Bail Court this morning in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
