HERE IS WHAT WE WROTE OVER THE WEEKEND

(Sault Ste Marie, Ont.) Just like we told you last week, we were out in full force over the long weekend and we have the tickets to prove it.

Officers with the OPP Traffic and Marine Unit, along with members of the Sault Ste Marie OPP detachment deployed cruisers, two boats and our OPP motorcycle as part of our ongoing commitment to increase our presence and traffic enforcement on our highways.

Between answering all the calls for service over the weekend, officers with the Traffic and Marine Unit and the Sault Ste Marie OPP detachment wrote two hundred and five (205) tickets

The OPP Marine Unit traveled to many inland lakes as well as the St. Mary’s River area. Marine officers found several boaters who had open liquor in their boats and other boaters who didn’t have sufficient life jackets on board.

Patrol and Traffic officers wrote the majority of the tickets for motorists who where traveling well over the speed limit.
