DRUG SEIZURE LEADS TO CHARGES
(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON.) Members of the Kirkland Lake OPP along with the assistance of the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau Drug Enforcement Unit, the North East Region Emergency Response Team and a North East region Canine Unit have charged a local man with several drug charges. The charges stem from the investigation of illegal drug related activities in the Kirkland Lake area. It culminated with the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence located on Woods Street in Kirkland Lake.
Seized as a result of the search were marihuana, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and some money. The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. on April 4, 2013.
Charged is Jonathan HILLGREN age 47 of Kirkland Lake with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Controlled Substance. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on May 9, 2013.
