‘TIS THE SEASON—TO BE LOUD Heyden, Ont.
‘TIS THE SEASON—TO BE LOUD
Heyden, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP experienced another 24 hours of what could be described as “routine policing”

Officers were called to four neighbour disputes, false alarms, five traffic complaints and other calls that appear to be of a routine but necessary function of our duties

This morning at about 5:30 a.m. officers were called to an address on Cameron Road in Heyden. After an entire night of partying at a house on that road, a neighbour in the area called police to ask the offending partygoers to turn the music down. Police attended that area and the request was complied with.

This is the time of year when noise complaints start to increase. On some occasions the idea of filling your yard or home with people, booze and then cranking up the music to top levels tends to annoy lots of people who live in your area. It may be your day or weekend off but others around you may have to work the next day or have smaller family members who are not yet of the party age.

If you keep your function under control and have just a little more consideration for those who live in your neighbourhood, this should be enough to ensure the police are not some of your late night or early morning “guests”
