Victim Yet to be Positively Identified (Wawa, Ontario) Superior East OPP continue to investigate the discovery of an abandoned car and recovery of a body from a nearby creek that occurred on Saturday April 19th north of Wawa.
Victim Yet to be Positively Identified

(Wawa, Ontario) Superior East OPP continue to investigate the discovery of an abandoned car and recovery of a body from a nearby creek that occurred on Saturday April 19th north of Wawa.

An autopsy was conducted on the male victim on Monday in Sudbury. Additional toxicological and biological tests are being planned and no autopsy results will be released until they have been completed. The recovered vehicle is being subjected to a forensic examination at the Northern Regional Forensic Lab in Sault Ste Marie. It has yet to be completed. The victim has yet to be positively identified but is believed to be from either the Edmonton, Alberta or Montreal Quebec area.
Police in both cities are making enquires to assist with the investigation.

The investigators for Superior East OPP have not ruled out anything and will continue their investigation to solve this death.

DAGGER AND RIFLE STOLEN FROM RESIDENCE

(Serpent River First Nation, Ont.) On the 21st of April 2008, East Algoma OPP attended a residence on Violet Rd in Cutler regarding a possible break enter and theft.

The victim reports that sometime between April 18th, 2008 and todays date unknown person(s) entered her residence and removed a German Dagger and a .22 caliber rifle.

Investigation continuing.

WATCH AND JEWELRY BOX MISSING

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a break enter and theft at a residence on Cedar Place in Elliot Lake.

Missing from the residence is a watch of sentimental value and a jewelry box. The items were discovered missing on Friday April 18th, 2008. The missing items were last seen my owner on April 15th, 2008.

Investigation continuing.

BREAK AND ENTER AT LOCAL MOTOR INN

(Spanish, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating an incident on Front Street in Spanish, Ontario.

Investigation revealed that unknown person(s) gained entry to the restaurant part of the motel. Once inside suspect(s) removed an undisclosed amount of alcohol.

The break enter and theft occurred sometime between 3:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. of April 21st ,2008.

Investigation continuing.
