Stolen Property Recovered
Elliot Lake, Ont.

On August 23rd, 2004 police received a complaint of two stolen outboard motors and a gas tank. The items were taken from the backyard of a residence on Hutchison Avenue. On September 7 police received information regarding the stolen motors. Investigation revealed that the suspect was in possession of the motors and gas tank.

Charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000.00 is Regis Chartrand, age 36 of Elliot Lake. Chartrand is scheduled to appear in court of October 5th, 2004.


Counterfeit $20.00 Alert
(Elliot Lake, Ont.)

The OPP were called to a local grocery store in regards to a possible counterfeit $20.00 bill. Investigation revealed that the bill was indeed counterfeit. Serial # on the bill was EIW4096432.
