DRUG WARRANT - THESSALON FIRST NATION

(THESSALON, ON.) –On Wednesday September 28, 2011, members of the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the UCCM Police assisted by the East Algoma OPP Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on the Thessalon First Nation Territory.

As a result police seized approximately $7,500 worth of suspected marihuana plants and cannabis marihuana.

Two people in the residence were charged.

Christian Perreault aged 22 of Thessalon First Nation and Roxanne Bisaillon aged 49 also of Thessalon First Nation were each charged with Production of a Controlled Substance and Possession of a Controlled Substance Contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Both accused were released and will appear in court in Blind River on November 1, 2011.
