UNDERCOVER PROJECT RESULTS IN 192 DRUG RELATED CHARGES
(ELLIOT LAKE, ON) The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Sudbury Drug Unit supported by the OPP East Algoma Detachment have charged 30 individuals with drug related offences following arrests conducted in the communities of Elliot Lake and Blind River on Tuesday September 24, 2013.
The charges stem from a nine-month undercover investigation.
The investigation focused on infiltrating several drug traffickers operating in the communities of Elliot Lake and Blind River. The investigation concluded with the execution of five search warrants in the communities of Elliot Lake and Blind River.
The OPP has charged 30 persons with a total of 192 drug related offences. Cocaine, marihuana, cannabis resin, oxycodone and percocets were purchased and seized along with $12,000 cash. The street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $100,000.
