TOW TRUCKS WORKING OVERTIME

Sault Ste Marie, Ont.,

Another small blast of winter has proved to be profitable for some tow truck drivers in the area north of Sault Ste Marie.

Yesterday, from about 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. OPP in Sault Ste Marie responded to five collisions in areas north of Sault Ste Marie. Four vehicles went into the ditch in the area between Montreal River and Batchawana. A fifth vehicle went off the roadway on Hwy 532 between Searchmont and Wabos. In all cases tow trucks were needed to get the vehicles back on the roadway. No one was injured in any of these incidents.

A snow squall blowing in off Lake Superior north of Sault Ste Marie produced a significant amount of snow in the Batchawana and Montreal River area.
