Echo Bay, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating a break and enter into a pair of businesses in Echo Bay.

At about 3:30a.m. on Wednesday morning officers responded to an alarm at a propane and construction business on Hwy 17 in Echo Bay. The two businesses share the same building. They found that thieves have entered the building and ransacked offices and desks. At this time the managers of the businesses advised police that an undetermined quantity of cash was stolen from the business.

JEWELRY TAKEN DURING BREAK AND ENTER

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) On May 1, 2007, the East Algoma OPP received a call from a homeowner on Pearson Drive in Elliot Lake in regards to a possible break and enter.

Police attended and investigation revealed that sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on May 1, 2007 unknown person(s) entered the residence and stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry and other household items. The estimated lost is at approximately $10,000.00.
