SAULT STE MARIE MALE CHARGED (Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Police have charged a Sault Ste Marie male after receiving a possible mischief call from a local drinking establishment on Mountain Road in Elliot Lake.

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Police have charged a Sault Ste Marie male after receiving a possible mischief call from a local drinking establishment on Mountain Road in Elliot Lake.

Through investigation police learned that the subject had attempted to gain access but was denied by staff. A short time later, allegedly a staff member noted the subject near a vehicle in the parking lot. When approached the subject fled the scene.

Police were called and through patrol located the subject.

Charged with the following is Brandon HORTON (19) of Sault Ste Marie.

Mischief under $5,000.00
Possession of Cannabis Marihuana
Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose - Flick knife
Breach of Probation
Fail to Comply

The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on June 7, 2011.


HOTEL VICTIM OF BREAK AND ENTER

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at approximately 12:29 a.m. the East Algoma OPP received a call to attend the rooftop area of the Algo Centre Mall regarding a possible broken window.

Police arrived on scene and patrolled around the hotel area which revealed a broken window at the back of the hotel. Further investigation revealed that someone had entered the office area and rummaged through desks. Nothing appeared to be missing.

Further patrol revealed 4 cracked windows at the Zellers entrance. No entry was gained.


LICENCE PLATES MISSING

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – During the last 30 days, the East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake has received 8 separate calls regarding possible stolen licence plates.

Licence plates were taken from parked vehicles, some parked in the driveway of the registered owners. Police are asking the public to report any suspicious activities in your neighbourhood.
