BREAK AND ENTER TO RESIDENCE IN BRUCE MINES

(Bruce Mines, ON.) – On Wednesday March 3, 2010 at approximately 11:00 a.m. the East Algoma – Thessalon OPP were contacted regarding a break and enter to a residence located on Taylor Street, Bruce Mines, Ontario.

The break and enter occurred sometime between February 22 –March 3, 2010. Suspects entered the residence causing extensive damage throughout the home. The damage amount and items stolen is still being tabulated.

POLICE LOOKING FOR HELP IN IDENTIFYING SUSPECT

(Blind River, ON.) – Police are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the person responsible for an attempted robbery that occurred in Blind River. On February 16, 2010 at approximately 9:30 p.m. a female was walking home with her dog on Huron Ave in Blind River when she was approached from behind by an unknown person. The female was knocked to the ground and the bag she was carrying was ripped open. The canine unit from the OPP attended but was unsuccessful in locating the suspect.

MISSING PERSON

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) –The East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake is currently investigating a report of a missing person from Elliot Lake.

Monica MAJKA (14) of Elliot Lake is missing from her home and was last seen on March 3, 2010. Monica is slender, has brown hair and wears glasses. She was last seen wearing a grey coat, red sweater, blue jeans and carrying a multi-coloured purse.

Anyone with information regarding the above the above missing person is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
