(Sault Ste Marie, Ont.) A Sault Ste Marie man whose name and photograph was published in the media yesterday has turned himself into police.

Yesterday Sault Ste Marie released the name and a photograph of a man wanted for seven break ins in the Goulais River area. He is also charged with twenty four (24) counts of breach of probation. Yesterday afternoon the man arrived at the Sault Ste Marie OPP Detachment and surrendered himself to police.

Twenty eight (28) year old Paul Andrew VAN GEEST of Sault Ste Marie will be making an appearance in bail court this morning.

Detectives with the Sault Ste Marie OPP and the OPP Rural and Agricultural Crime Team (R.A.C.T.) continue their investigation into a series of break and enter north and east of Sault Ste Marie.

HOME ENTERED ON LOWER ISLAND LAKE

(Heyden, Ont.) Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a home on Lower Island Lake Road in Heyden after the door was found forced open.

Sometime between Sunday night and yesterday criminals forced open the door of the home. It appears that the potential thieves may have not entered the home because the homeowner cannot find anything missing.

Damage to the door was not extensive.

TWO CAR- DEER CRASHES YESTERDAY

(Heyden, Ont.) Again motorist area being advised to always be watching for wild life on area highways

Two deer were struck by vehicles on area highways. The first crash happened at about 1:30 p.m. on Hwy 556 in Heyden.

The operator of the vehicle was traveling on Hwy 556 near the Aweres School when he struck a deer. The deer fled into the bush and the driver did not need a tow truck for his vehicle.

The second crash happened about 3:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon on Hwy 17 near the bottom of Mile Hill. This time the deer was injured and the animal had to be put out of its misery. The driver of this car was able to drive the vehicle from the scene.

No one was injured in any of these crashes.
