STOLEN PROPANE HEATING TANK

Goulais River, Ont.,

Once again Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating the theft of materials used for home heating.

Yesterday at about 3:00 p.m. a resident of Goulais River arrived home to find that someone had stolen a 100-pound propane tank and the two regulators from the side of his house. Police were able to determine the suspect or suspects dragged the tank from the side of the house to the driveway. It is believed that the tank was loaded onto a vehicle and removed from the area.

WATCH OUT FOR STUCK GROOMER

Goulais River, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP would like to warn snow machine operators of a hazard on the Goulais River.

Yesterday the Sault Trailblazers advised that their trail groomer has broken through the ice on the Goulais River near the Bailey bridge. Members of the organization had put out a variety of warning symbols and warning tape around the groomer but someone keeps removing the warning devices.

Keep a close eye out for the groomer and a work crews in that area as they attempt to get the machine freed from the ice.
