ASSAULT X2

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) The East Algoma OPP investigated and charged a male after receiving a call regarding two persons being assaulted. The call was received on February 22, 2009 at approximately 6:31 p.m. from a residence on Willoughby Road in Elliot Lake.

Charged with Assault X2 is Mark LACH (46) of Sagard Township in Ontario.

LACH is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on April 7, 2009.

DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) February 24, 2009 at approximately 11:40 p.m. while on general patrol an officer of the East Algoma OPP conducted a routine traffic stop on Saskatchewan Rd.

Charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 Milligrams is Pierre ETHIER (52) of Elliot Lake. ETHIER is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on May 5, 2009.

KEEP YOUR DOORS LOCKED AT ALL TIMES

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) Thursday the 19th of February 2009 police received a call to attend a residence on Canmet Road regarding an unknown male entering a residence.

Investigation revealed that at approximately 2:20 p.m. an unknown male entered the residence and was confronted by a resident of the home. The male stated he was a house inspector, which proved to be false. The suspect left the residence shortly after being confronted by the resident of the home.

POLICE WOULD TO REMIND ALL CITIZENS TO KEEP THEIR DOORS LOCKED AT ALL TIMES.

Investigation continuing.
