Drugs Seized And Local Man Charged

(Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP have arrested and charged a local man with several charges stemming from a drug investigation.

Police seized 10 grams of cocaine, value $1,000.00, 7.5 grams of Marihuana value $150.00, $335.00 in cash and drug paraphernalia associated to trafficking.

Larry Allen SAYERS (42) from Elliot Lake is charged with; Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking
Fail to Comply with Recognizance X2.

SAYERS is in custody awaiting a bail hearing on February 23, 2006.

Someone once described police work as 80 percent routine and 20 percent terror. For the OPP in Sault Ste Marie, yesterday falls within the 80 percent mark. Officers responded to child custody disputes, traffic complaints and an assorted variety of calls that we receive on a daily basis.
