GOULIGANS—CHECK YOUR NEIGHBOURS HOUSE

Goulais River, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP are asking residents of Goulais Mission Road to check your neighbours house or camp to see if it has been broken into.

This morning at about 3:00 a.m. OPP were called to the 1500 area of Goulais Mission Road area after receiving a report of an intoxicated man, hurt, on the roadway. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from injuries that required medical treatment. The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.

While at the scene police questioned the man about why and where he was walking at that hour in the morning. The man indicated that he was at a house party but didn’t know where. He also didn’t know who owned the house he allegedly was at and couldn’t remember where it was located. A short time after police arrived on the scene a female walked up to the scene. She advised police she was with the man but could seem to remember where the party was or who owned the house they were at.

A patrol of the area was conducted and police found a mini van, connected to the two people, stuck in the ditch nearby. The minivan was filled with articles most commonly stolen in break and enters. Some of those items included fishing equipment, frozen foods, electronics, and camping equipment. Neither of the two could remember where the items in their van came from.

Police are asking residents all along the Goulais Mission Road area to check your neighbours house, camps and outbuildings to see if anything is missing from your area.

HEYDEN HOUSE GET PAINTED

Heyden, Ont.,

For everyone in the Birchgrove and Hiltz Road area of Heyden, its time to step forward and see who owns paintball guns in your neighbourhood.

Last night vandals shot paintballs at the same house on two occasions. Police were called to a house on Birchgrove Road in Heyden at about 10:30 p.m. last night. It was apparent that someone shot about 20-25 paint balls at the house. At about midnight, the same homeowner called police again to say that the culprits had returned to the house and again shot paintballs at his home.

Police suspect that the culprits are from that area of Heyden. We are asking anyone to call police with the names of people in the Birchgrove and Hiltz Road area they suspect of having paintball guns.
