WARRANTS EXECUTED AND TWO ARRESTED - Update

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – The morning of April 5, 2013 officers of the East Algoma OPP executed warrants on Dieppe Avenue and Washington Crescent in Elliot Lake.

Two males have been arrested and charged.

  1. Dale Roger BOYER (39) of Elliot Lake. The accused is charged with the following:
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime        (X3)
  • Breach of Probation                        (X8)
  • Break and Enter       (X4)

The above accused remains in custody.

  1. Bradley Elwood DAVIDSON (53) of Elliot Lake is charged with possession of stolen property. 

The above accused is scheduled to appear in Sudbury court on April 24, 2013.

MALE CHARGED WITH WEAPONS OFFENCES

(Thessalon, Ontario) April 10th, 2013 at approximately 1:20 p.m. the OPP received a call to attend the area of Genelle Street East in the town of Thessalon.  Information received was the suspect had been seen with a rifle and two loud pops had been heard.  Further information received was that allegedly the rifle had been concealed by the suspect in a small cedar hedge.

When police arrived on scene, the suspect had left the area. A local elementary school was advised of the situation and placed in Code Green.  The school was not a target but Code Green was initiated to ensure the safety of the children and staff.

At 1:31 p.m. the suspect was located and arrested.

Charged with the following is Tyson GIASSON (19) of Thessalon.

  •             Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  •             Careless Use of Firearm

The accused is scheduled to appear in Blind River court on May 2, 2013.
