ROAD CLOSURE – HWY 17 W
(Nairn Centre,ON) - Espanola OPP advise that Highway 17 at Nairn Centre is closed due to a serious motor vehicle collision.
The road is completely closed at this time. No detour has yet been established.
The investigation is still in its’ infancy and few details are available at this time.
MAN FOUND DECEASED IN HIS RESIDENCE
(Brunswick House First Nation) – After receiving a 911 call shortly after 9 pm on Saturday, June 28th, 2008 officers from the Superior East Chapleau OPP Detachment and Ambulance responded to Brunswick House First Nation regarding a male that was located in a residence deceased. Police are not releasing information regarding the deceased at this time pending next of kin notification. Foul play is suspected and a post mortem will be conducted tomorrow in Sudbury.
The Nishnawbe-Aski Police requested the assistance of Ontario Provincial Police with this matter. The investigation is ongoing and being conducted by members of the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Crime Unit, OPP Chapleau Detachment and North East Region Criminal Operations, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
