(COCHRANE, ON) - An investigation conducted by members of Project "THC" (a joint investigative team comprised of officers of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Timmins Police Service), and members of the Cochrane Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, resulted in three Cochrane residents being arrested and charged for drug related offences.

A subsequent search warrant was executed at a 16th Avenue residence, which resulted in the seizure of cannabis marijuana, cannabis resin and other offence related property.

Timmins Residents Charged with Several Offences After Drug Raid

(TIMMINS, ON) - An investigation conducted by members of Project "THC" (a joint investigative team comprised of officers of the Ontario Provincial Police and the Timmins Police Service), and members of the Timmins Police Service, resulted in two Timmins residents being arrested and charged for several drug offences.

On the 06th of January 2005, a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant to Search was executed at a Birch Street South residence.

An extensive search of the residence revealed approximately 152 grams of cannabis marijuana and approximately 40 grams of cannabis resin.

The drugs have a potential street value of approximately $3000.

Also seized from the residence was approximately $500 in Canadian currency.

(TIMMINS, ON) - On Friday the 07th of January 2005, two separate drug investigations conducted by members of Project "THC" (a joint investigative team comprised of members of the Ontario Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Section and members of the Timmins Police Service), lead to the execution of two separate search warrants in the City of Timmins.

1) At approximately 5 p.m., police entered a residence in the City of Timmins. Upon entry, one male subject was taken into custody and a search of the residence was conducted. The male person cannot be identified due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of approximately 542 grams of cannabis marijuana, 2.5 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms), and approximately $3500 in cash. The potential street value of the drugs seized is approximately $8200.

2) At approximately 11:30 p.m., police entered a residence at 241 Balsam Street North in the City of Timmins. One male subject was taken into custody and a search of the residence was conducted. The search of the residence resulted in the seizure of a quantity of cannabis marijuana, prescription medication, and approximately $300 in cash.
