KENORA — Ontario Provincial Police didn't have to look too hard to find evidence pointing to a potential problem for a motorist on the weekend.

After stopping a vehicle on Highway 17 near War Eagle Lake, just west of Kenora, police observed several empty beer cans and a partially consumed bottle of Captain Morgan rum on the passenger seat.

The driver also had a copy of Food & Drink magazine.

"OPP are constantly on the lookout for impaired drivers, and on Saturday night they successfully removed one from the Trans-Canada Highway," police stated in a social media post.

"If you're out for a cruise stay clear of the booze!" the post continues.

The OPP did not release any information about the charges laid in this incident.
