COLLISION WITH A HOUSE NETS CHARGES FOR LOCAL MALE (Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On the 20 th of September 2013 the OPP received information that a vehicle had struck a house on Esten Drive South in Elliot Lake and the vehicle had left the scene.

COLLISION WITH A HOUSE NETS CHARGES FOR LOCAL MALE

(Elliot Lake, Ontario) – On the 20th of September 2013 the OPP received information that a vehicle had struck a house on Esten Drive South in Elliot Lake and the vehicle had left the scene. 

Police attended the area and noted damage to an exterior tap, hose and minor damage to the siding. 

Police obtained a description of the car and began patrolling the area.  The vehicle was located approximately 1 km from the collision scene.  The driver was located and arrested.

Charged with the following is Guy FORGET (47) of Elliot Lake.

  •           Fail to Remain at Scene of an Accident
  •           Impaired Operation/Motor Vehicle/ Drug

The accused is scheduled to appear in Elliot Lake court on December 3, 2013.

SINGLE MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISON SENDS FOUR TEENS TO HOSPITAL

Serious Injuries Reported

(Goulais Township, ON) On Sunday, September 22nd 2013 at approximately 4:15 am Sault Ste. Marie OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision approximately three kilometers north in the 900 block of Havilland Shores Drive.

A black Chevrolet pickup truck travelling west on Havilland Shores Drive lost control and entered the south ditch of the roadway striking a tree.

Two seventeen year old females, one eighteen year old male passenger and the driver were transported to hospital by ambulance.

The two female passengers received serious injuries.

One female passenger remains in serious condition at Sault Area Hospital.  All others have been released from hospital.

The vehicle was demolished.

As a result of police investigation, the driver, eighteen year old Jess Daniel Pitt of Mission Road, Goulais Township has been arrested and charged with two counts of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Bodily Harm.

The accused has been released on a Promise to Appear for court on 21 October 2013.

Impaired driver arrested

BATCHEWANA FIRST NATION, ON - On Saturday, September 21, 2013, OPP received a call from concerned citizens regarding a male driving a grey pickup truck in the 1500 block of Old Garden River Road.

Upon police arrival, the vehicle was observed partially on the roadway and partially in a driveway with a male sitting in the driver’s seat.

As a result of police investigation, 21-year-old Coddy Emerson Grant of Fish Hatchery Road, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with one count of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and one count of Exceed 80 milligram blood alcohol content while operating a motor vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released on a promise to appear for Provincial court October 21, 2013.
