NO INJURIES AFTER ASSAULT ON WOMAN
Searchmont, Ont.,

A Sault Ste Marie man will appear in bail court this afternoon after allegedly assaulting a woman on Saturday morning.

At about 10:00 a.m. on Saturday Sault Ste Marie OPP were called to a home in the Northland Lake area after receiving a report of a man assaulting a woman with a baseball bat.

Charged with Assault, Threatening, Breach of Probation and Breach of an Undertaking is 33-year-old Cory Deevy of Sault Ste Marie. Deevey will appear in bail court this afternoon. The victim was not injured in this incident.



THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF POWER TOOLS STOLEN
Red Rock, Ont.,

Sault Ste Marie OPP are investigating the theft power tools from a garage in the Red Rock area west of Sault Ste Marie.

Sometime between last Wednesday and Saturday afternoon culprits forcibly entered a garage an made off with over $5000.00 in power tools. Red Rock is a secluded settlement nestled on the shore of Lake Superior just north of Gros Cap.
