OPP REPORT TWO COLLISIONS INVOLVING ANIMALS (Slater Township, ON) – On Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 9:30 pm OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and a moose on Highway 17 north near Whispering Pines road.

(Slater Township, ON)On Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 9:30 pm OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and a moose on Highway 17 north near Whispering Pines road.

No injuries were reported, however the tractor trailer had to be towed.

On Sunday, May 6, 2012 at 5:15 am OPP responded to a single motor vehicle collision involving a tractor trailer and a deer on Highway 17 north near Pancake Bay.

No injuries reported in this incident.

DRIVER CHARGED IN FOUR VEHICLE COLLISION

(Aweres Township, ON) OPP investigated a four vehicle collision on Highway 556 on Saturday, May 6, 2012 at approximately 3:30 pm.

A vehicle towing a utility trailer stopped to make a left hand turn into a parking lot on Highway 556 with two vehicles stopped behind it.

A fourth vehicle towing a boat travelling westbound collided into the third vehicle causing a chain reaction collision.

No injuries were reported.

Two of the vehicles had to be towed.

The driver, thirty-nine year old Thomas LEE of 11 Olsen Drive, Aweres Township was charged with Follow to Close under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
