HEYDEN AREA BREAK AND ENTERS

The Sault Ste Marie OPP is investigating three break and enters in Heyden over the weekend.

On Saturday 11 May 2002 at about 1:00 p.m. officers arrived at a seasonal home on Clark Rd in the Upper Island Lake area. The culprits had forced their way into the home and took a quantity of alcohol. Officers checked some nearby camps and also discovered that there were indications that someone attempted to enter but were unsuccessful.

On the same day police discovered two camps in the Lower Island Lake area were broken into. The owners of one of the camps reports about $4000.00 in property stolen. In the second break and enter the culprit did extensive damage to the interior of the building by throwing assorted food products around the interior of the home.

These three break and enters occurred in a area that is isolated and only has one way in and out. If anyone in the Upper and Lower Island Lake area has seen or heard anything unusual in the pa
