MISCHIEF TO COTTAGE (Fenwick Twp., ON) – Owners returned to their cottage on Friday, May 8th in Fenwick Township to discover that suspect(s) unknown had kicked open the door and damaged the interior walls by kicking holes in them.

No items were taken.

WINDOW DAMAGED

(Aweres Twp., ON) – On Saturday, May 9th, at approximately 4:00 pm a homeowner in the 100 block of Birch Grove Road reported someone throwing a beer bottle through the front window of the residence causing the window to shatter.

STOLEN MTO TRUCK RECOVERED

(Ley Twp.,) ON – A fully marked Ministry of Transportation Pick Up Truck (2004 GMC Sierra) reported stolen in the City was recovered on Saturday on Havilland Shores Drive in Ley Township.

The vehicle was located on its side in the middle of the roadway on Havilland Shores Drive.

There was minor damage to the vehicle.

No one was located around the vehicle.

STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED IN AWERES TOWNSHIP

(Aweres Twp., ON) – A vehicle stolen overnight from a residence in the 100 block of Maki Lake Road in Aweres Township on Saturday, was recovered on Sunday by the owner.

After reporting the theft of the 2001 Ford Pick Up to the Police, the owner went looking for his vehicle.

The owner located his vehicle parked in a driveway several houses away. A small amount to change was missing from the vehicle.

A BMX style bike had been left in the owner’s driveway where the vehicle was stolen from.

CANOE STOLEN

(Tarbutt Additional Twp., ON) – Sometime between May 6th and May 9th suspect(s) unknown stole a 13’ long red Pelican canoe from the front lawn of a seasonal residence on Pine Island.

FIRE DESTROYS TRAILER

(Fenwick Twp.,) – A unoccupied mobile home and its contents in the 1000 block of Mission Road in Fenwick Township was completely destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon at approximately 4:30 pm.

Goulais River First Response, the OPP and the Ministry of Natural Resources all responded to the call.

The owner had been burning cardboard near the secondary trailer on his property when it spread.

The incident is further under investigation by the Ministry of Natural Resources.
