EXCEED 80 MILLIGRAMS (WAWA) – On June 6, 2009 at approximately 11:15 pm Police had occasion to check a 1998 Green Mazda 626 at a RIDE check on Highway 17 just south of Wawa. The officers detected the odour of alcohol on the lone male driver.

(WAWA) – On June 6, 2009 at approximately 11:15 pm Police had occasion to check a 1998 Green Mazda 626 at a RIDE check on Highway 17 just south of Wawa. The officers detected the odour of alcohol on the lone male driver. As a result of a subsequent breathalyser test, Uriah Richard WILLIAMS age 40 of Brampton, Ontario stands charged with exceeding over 80 milligrams of alcohol contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He will appear in Wawa court on September 14, 2009 to answer to the charge.

R.I.D.E. – Several RIDE checks throughout the Superior East Patrol area resulted in 200 vehicles being checked with Criminal and Provincial Offences being laid.

Found Dog - Anyone know the owner?

(Goulais River) – OPP were called to a residence in the Anderson Road area with respect to a found dog. The dog is presently being looked after by the residence owner. The dog is described as being a Golden Labrador Retriever, approximately two to four years of age and wearing a green John Deere collar. This dog has a friendly disposition. If anyone knows who owns this dog or where he comes from, please contact the Ontario Provincial Police, Sault Ste Marie Detachment as soon as possible at 1-888-310-1122.
