ESPANOLA O.P.P. INVESTIGATE FATAL MOTOR COLLISON INVOLOVING OFF DUTY OPP OFFICER

(Nairn Centre,ON) - At 3:00pm on Sunday the 29th June 2008 Espanola OPP responded to a two vehicle collision on Hwy 17 Nairn Township about 3 kilometers west of Nairn Centre. A Pontiac Sunfire and a motor cycle were involved in the collision.

The driver of the motorcycle received fatal injuries and was identified as an off duty OPP officer. The two occupants of the Sunfire were taken to the Espanola General Hospital where they are being treated for minor injuries. The names of the involved parties are not being released at this time.
